so, my audio problem is fixed. for good. 

 

No, i did not get a sound card, but I got an arctis 5 headset. here are my first impressions:

 

• good software control
• very good sound with DTS Headphone X
• a Crystal clear mic that you could compare to a 20 dollar microphone
• the RGB is very easy to customize and looks exactly as advertised
• Very comfortable ear cushions, with the steelseries fabric helping my ears not get too toasty with the leather-like materiel where my ears are
• nice matte finish looks incredible
• no pinching whatsoever
• detachable wire for portability
• game/chat dial helps a lot
• Great head support

I have had problems with a headset before, my Razer kraken standard (which I did get for 60 bucks) was a little annoying with the ear pinching and detachable wire, but I regret ever getting it because, of course, it broke. this headset seems like It is built to last, and since I got 10 percent off, I used 10 dollars to get a 2 year warranty, where I can show up to any best buy and get a new one if it breaks. in all, the headset is great and I recommend it to anybody looking for a new headset.
