Corsair CX550M (or you could even go with 450M if your GPU has only one 8-pin and no 6-pin) is a really good value.

I have a PSU tier list in my sig -- anything tier 3 or better is good.

you only really need 450W, but 550W is more comfortable, and if you are considering SLI/CF, then maybe get a 650W

Yeah, a 500-650W would definitely be fine, even for overclocking. Even if you pick a reputable brand, I would recommend getting at least a mid-range model. The cheaper models won't burn your house down, but the step up in quality from a $40 PSU and a $70 PSU can be pretty big.

i7-6700 @ 4.4GHz || Asrock Z170 Pro4 || MSI RX 480 Gaming X 8GB || Sandisk 480GB SSD + 2x Crucial 128GB SSD + Seagate 3TB HDD

2x8GB G.Skill 2133MHz || NZXT S340 || Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo || EVGA B2 750W || AOC G2260VWQ6 Freesync

1. Why do you want a glorified 4 Core CPU right now when there are 8 core CPUs available for the same price?!

And don't come with 'its better for gaming', yeah, that was said about the Single Core CPUs at the time or Dual Cores like the E8600 vs. Q9550. And as we know, the "more core" CPU was the better and longer lasting one.

2. A good quality 400W/450W PSU is more than enough for that build.

I have an i7-3930K and a Power Color RX480 Red Devil and barely am able to get past 350W.

Why do you think he needs 500W??

because people always go overkill and with OC the i7 runs around 130W with a GPU that has 200W OC to use, let's say 250W add in around 20~30W more for fans and drives you're getting awfully close to your 450W max output. so 500W is my recommendation and it's a sensible one. 650W is clearly overkill to be perfectly in the efficiency curve, some people really care about hitting that
