Which 1080 ti

Ignoring price, which 1080 ti card will be the fastest, or will it even matter, the strix, ftw3, duke, aorus etc.

Aesthetically, I prefer blower-style cards.

 

And it probably doesn't matter too much, most of the aftermarket 1080Ti cards have stock overclocks which can be easily achieved manually

whichever allows for higher power limit and has better cooler... unless they are way more expensive.

I have the Asus ROG Poseidon Platinum, and I have included it in my custom loop. Ive been able to get the highest stable overclock I have ever personally seen, 2126mhz. I would definitely reccomend this card, it is both a beauty and a beast.

unless it has the voltage limit removed it will Overclock within margin of error of any other 1080ti, I know some cards bypassed nvidias limit and they have more potential, but also if you don't know what you're doing more risk of destroying your card...

the Posieden, KingPin and Lightning cards are the fastest out of the box (as they are binned GPU's), but you could buy a card as cheap as the Founders and slap a water block on it and run within 5% of the clockspeed of those cards.

The way Pascal works, if you are not willing to mod the PCB to trick the core into thinking it’s recieving less power than it actually is, then 99% of all 1080tis will perform the same, unless they are binned. That’s why most of the big channels only reviewes one or two 1080tis. Just go for one you like.

The Kingpin/HOF/Lighning Z should be at the top but keep in mind these will not perform significantly better than the Gaming X/Strix/Aorus Xtreme so take your pick. As long as your card has a really strong cooler you should be able to overclock it quite far.

Performance wise, the difference is not worth the price premium. Aesthetics, cooling and noise? They are different and might be worth it.
