I'm totally guessing right now, but there should be an autosave somewhere. I did some work with Google Sites, and I was able to save versions of a site and rollback to those whenever I wanted

Probably under an "options" menu of some kind. Again, I haven't had any experience with Wordpress so this is all guesswork

Yeah same, not that big expert on wordpress

WordPress expert here. Unless you have a pluging keeping backups before / after every update, WordPress does not automagically keep versions of themes or plugins for you, only pages and post edits. To be clear, you say you updated the Theme and everything broke, yeah? If you were editing base theme files instead of using a Child Theme, then this very well may be the case. The best way to proceed to get the site back online is restore from a backup, but assuming that's not an option, you might just have to rollback to the prior theme version and rebuild some things.

  • Is your WordPress installation up-to-date? Version 4.8.2 is the latest secure version.
  • What theme are you using, and is it a paid/premium theme? Premium Themes have support forums.
  • Is your webhost cPanel based? cPanel is also my specialty, so you may have R1Soft backups through your host already enabled.
  • Baring you know none of this, what's the domain name? I'll just figure all of the above info out myself. :P

I see the message, thanks. I'll continue to reply here, without revealing any private information. This way at least it helps everyone who might have the same issue.

It appears your webhost doesn't offer any backups, and is probably using some custom control panel instead of an industry standard like Plesk or cPanel.

(Nothing wrong with that, but it does make dealing with issues difficult since I have no idea how it operates, or doesn't operate.)

Anywho, they do advise the use of a plugin to backup and restore your site, as seen here: https://domene.shop/faq?section=17

But you'd have to have done this before it broke of course. Plus, I recommend using All In One WP Migration instead.

At this point, I'd actually check to make sure there aren't any plugin conflicts and that things are up-to-date.

  • Disable all your plugins in your WP-Admin panel
  • Change the theme back to a default theme, such as Twenty-Seventeen
  • Ensure everything is up-to-date on the Updates section of your WP-Admin panel (your WP seems to be running 4.8.2 so yay!)
  • Change the theme back to Vantage by Site Origin, see how it looks, if still horrifically broken, then we know this is the cause
  • If not, re-enable each plugin one-by-one and check the site each time until it breaks

Just remember that if this is simply a design issue, and you were editing theme files directly then updated, you may have lost those changes forever as a theme update will overwrite everything in the Vantage theme directory. SiteOrigin does have a child theme for Vantage you can use for this purpose: https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation-old/child-theme/

Last resort option is to actually contact your host and see if they keep any backups that aren't listed publicly. Some hosts are good about this and actually do keep a week of backups even if they don't tell you anywhere, and will restore things if paid enough money or talked to sweetly.

EDIT: I don't directly see exactly what's wrong with the site, other than lots of heading fonts seem broken, and there seem to be elements or logos missing in places where I think content should be. I didn't build the site from the beginning so I can't say for sure what's broken with it.

Normally when you disable plugins they shouldn't lose their settings, but it's always safest to backup to be sure. Only when you uninstall a plugin should it remove its' settings, although I know many plugins that don't because their developers don't bother to cleanup their mess upon uninstall.
