Hej, so i recently bought a bundle of things, It included a G41M-P28 Motherboard, that now seems to have problems... So the problems is that the board wont post. I rendered it to the motherboard by using a different CPU from another build, a new GPU, different PSU, Different ram in each slot... Nothing, the board wont post. So i was wondering why wont the thing post even though everything lights up, the GPU i have shows the green LED that it has power. when i power it one, everything spins and things... but no picture... The Gpu i'm using is from my personal rig, so that is not the problem why it isn't showing the picture. any ideas why?

Do you have some particular error codes, etc.?  Have you checked all outputs of the card?  I only ask because my board won't show BIOS output on anything but the HDMI.  After it passes basic POST it switches to DisplayPort.

It doesn't give me anything, no picture at all... I tried all the output of the card from DVI to Display port. But nothing, On my own rig the card works fine with not problem.

ohh wow.. lga 775 I bet the motherboard is dead xD it wouldn't be a surprise, I guess its not new right? I would check the caps on the mobo.. that's the most common thing on these motherboards, if they have a bulge on them or something else its probably that

What CPU is being used here?

Older board, no diagnostics on-board, but it does have a VGA port if the CPU you have installed works with that.

Do you have the 4 pin auxiliary power connection connected to the motherboard?

What GPU do you have?  Is the PSU sufficient to power it?

All caps are fine. Noting bulging, everything is flat.

the CPU is a E6500 and the other one i tried was a E8400, Both worked in another LGA 775 Board. There is a VGA port on the board but i doubt the board has GPU i know that the CPU's both don't have IGPUs.
And yes 4 pin was connected.
The GPU is a older one, HD 7850. and The PSU is a 700W PSU that works fine. It just a test PSU btw. I just test things like GPUs or Boards with it. It has served me well in the past year.

Mmm...do you know your monitor's good? (just covering all the bases here).

Have you tried resetting the CMOS/BIOS?  It's possible the last owner had a CPU with an integrated GPU and the BIOS is set to use that GPU that doesn't exist now.

Monitor works fine, I'm using it Currently to test the other PC under load and stuff.
And No i haven't tried resetting the Cmos/Bios... I'll do it now. I'll let you know what happened...
ohh, also Couldn't it be physical damage like linus demonstrated in one episode... Bent pins can cause i CPU to not work...

Definitely possible.  That would be on the CPU and not board though.  You stated you had tried a couple of CPUs.
