DDR3 vs DDR4?

Which would be faster...DDR4-2400 CL14 vs DDR3-2133 CL9?

 

I know DDR3 uses more voltage, but does DDR4 have feature that would cause it to run faster than the same clocked DDR3?  While DDR4 speeds are higher, so is their CAS rating, so trying to figure out about how fast my current DDR3-2133 CL9 would be compared to DDR4.

ddr4 would be faster but dont forget, they are not backwards compatible.

C14 is a lot for 2400, it should at lower timings

your DDR3 CL9 would be exactly identical to a JEDEC standard DDR4 2133 CL9 your 2400 kit is at CL14 though which is very high and weird, probably slower

I don't have DDR4 memory, just trying to estimate what DDR4 speed/cas would be equiv to my DDR3.
