LiteCoin Mining Worth it?

As said from the title, do you guys really think that Litecoins are really profitable? I have a 7950 that I could use for mining.

You can expect about 630 K/hash.

Calculators are only relevant for 3 days. The difficulty adjusts to added/decreased hashrate added to the network. Recent interest in mining will cause the difficulty to increase.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

I just started with my 7950. Sorta my testing week to see if I should dedicate a machine to mining. So far so, good hash rates and I have made like $10 worth of litecoins in a pretty short period of time. I'd say it's worth it if you got a 7950

 

Edit: I would recommend wemineltc.com. Pretty good pool, haven't had any issues with it and I think a few other forum users are on it.

I just got 43 dollars from selling a litecoin today from the 7970 in my rig. I would say yes

My rig  case- Graphite 600t white CPU-i5 3570k OC 4.0Ghz RAM- 8gb Vengeance memory HDD-WD Black 1tb PSU-tx650 GPU- MSI 770 gameing edition 2gb , gtx 650 1gb Motherboard- asrock extreme 3 z77 Fan controller- NZXT sentry lx CPU cooler- H60 Peripherals- g300 mouse G630 headset k70 silver cherry mx red switches  my free nas nas Case- Dell something.. I think I would just mine a few litecoins and just save them until they get super popular like bitcoins did.

Likely because the program you want is called CGminer ;)

 

I'd also say it's a false positive for CGminer due to the fact that a lot of trojans and botnets are including mining software in their code to turn your infected zombie into a zombie miner.

It's almost not worth it... The difficulty has risen 25% within the last week and a bit..

If you do decide to though you would be looking at around 600-700 khash/s which would net you around .3 Litecoins a day or around $10.

The increase in price created increase in media attention which created an increase in people wanting to start mining. The final thing to increase is the difficulty as it adjusts to the added hashrate to the network.

That's not to say mining will become unprofitable, but splitting your investment between mining hardware and purchasing coins directly is suggested and personally recommended.
