what is the usb 2.0 plug connected to the usb 3.0 wire used for if there is already a usb 2.0 plug?

If your talking about the USB interal cable having a daisy chained 2.0 connection to it it's for motherboards that don't have any USB 3.0 headers which allows for the ports to just be used as USB 2.0.

Sorry don't quite understand that.

Could you rephrase it please?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.
