As stated in a previous post:

I recently bought a new laptop and it along with many other Windows devices on my wifi network are having problems connecting to the internet. It's shows that it is connect but Chrome shows error site can't be reached .

This problem doesn't occur on any mobile device and Mac os machines. And the wifi begins to work after a long wait ranging in time from a few minutes to 15+. My desktop pc,running  which is wired Ethernet has no problems with internet, which makes me believe its a problem with Windows and the wifi.

So far I have tried:

1. IP config release, renew, flush dns. Which didn't do anything

2. And setting up an extension to share the load

Any suggestions?

Does the laptop have a wired connection? Connect the laptop using that, and see if you can connect without issue. If you can, then the wireless device in the laptop is bad.

If you can't, then it's a software thing.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

It's a problem with all windows devices using wifi, my desktop which  is wired works perfectly all of the time.

How would I go about doing this?

Depends. If you have an ISP supplied router, then you cant. If you own your own then you need to go to the companies website and find the download. Once you got that, its as easy as login in to the firmware via the web browser and uploading the file. It should take a few minuets and then the router will reboot and all is good. You need to do it on a wired connection, dont use WiFi for this process. If this doesnt solve the issue, then its most likely hardware related and you need to buy a new router.

If its an ISP supplied box, call them up and demand a new one. Or if your ISP is like Comcast, there might be stores you can go to, to exchange equipment.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I live in Australia and my ISP has provided multiple boxes which all have the same problem, the other which I'm not using is even worse..
