Nvidia has confirmed that if you buy the Asus VG248HE you can add a G-Sync module when G-Sync is released. How would you go and do this? Would it be something you would put between the DVI connector and monitor? Or would you have to open up your monitor and plug it in/solder it in? I know a lot of people don't really know much if anything at all about G-Sync quite yet, but do you know this yet?

It goes inside the monitor and replaces a PCB inside

It will be like replacing a GPU, you take the old PCB out and put this in its place.

Okay sounds simple enough, because as comfortable enough I am with PC components, I'm kinda scared to open up my monitor!

I wouldn't call it a GPU really just the board that regulates the refresh rate. more like a display FPGA

Well yeh I was just paraphrasing because it using a PCI connection like GPU's so it should be a similar process ;c of just taking the old one out and slotting the new one in.

G-Sync uses 2 8 pins right?  :D But really, shouldn't be too hard I guess

I'm looking at treating myself to the Dell U2713H over xmas. Does anyone know if i will be able to upgrade this monitor with a G-Sync module when they are released? Also is there some kind of list or certification/qualification for monitors that will be able to be upgradable in the future? Would be useful for people who own a Geforce Kepler GPU so we can see what monitors will exactly be able to benefit from the technology.
