Is there a way to cast my computer screen to my phone in VR?

To be more specific, I'm trying to figure out a way to basically do that thing that the PS VR does where it emulates a giant screen in front of me, so I could just as easily lie back on my bed while playing non-VR games on my computer(with a controller, obviously). Sure, I could probably go on Craigslist and find someone's old TV that I could put up on my dresser to accomplish this same goal, but I already HAVE a Gear VR, and this way is more interesting, even if unconventional.

I tried playing rise of the tomb raider with a similar setup using TwoMon USB. The lag was unbelievable.

Wifi bandwidth would be an issue

You won't get the bandwidth. Also, the phone will go flat pretty fast.

I only got a few FPS, and they were rather crap quality, despite looking amazing on the native screen.

I've streamed games to my phone via Moonlight before, even over the internet while at my grandparents' house, and all I'm trying to do now is basically have a movie theater type thing going on where all I see in the Gear VR is a giant virtual screen SIMILAR TO THE THING PS VR DOES FOR NON-VR GAMES.

Hmmmm. Thanks for reminding me about moonlight. I'll try VR gaming with that.

Never owned a playstation. The youtube app does something like this, but I don't think its quite what you are after.
