Jump to content

Use some pins or something small to get the crimp housing thing out the socket. Then get a new one, re-crimp the existing wire, and put it back in. Ofc it'll be fine just like that, albeit with extra load going through that single 12V cable.

as you can see here, the 4 pin power has just +12V and ground, so that should boot just fine as long as its not some super powerfull CPU. just make sure you tape off the end of the loose wire so it dosent hit anything and wreck it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

For internet surfing or watching Netflix you'll be fine until you have the ability to fix it. You can steal an unused yellow cable from a PCIe power cable or something and replace the broken wire.
