Final build before buying. Look over and tell me how it is?

EthanHinman

Hello everyone, I will be buying these parts today. I was wondering if this is an ok build, if not any recommendations? My budget is around $1,500

I was wondering if I should upgrade to 1440p monitor or stick with 1080p, if so any recommendations on a cheap good monitor?

This is my first build, and is for only gaming.

You should definitely reallocate more money to your monitor. Imo the gtx1080 is a waste for only 1080p75hz. Getting a 1070 instead and going to 1080p144hz or 1440p60 or 144hz would be much better

Ok, guess I'll have to get a 1440p monitor. Anyone have any recommendations?

How much do you think you want to spend on it?

I have the exact same mobo and cpu. I re used my 980, and that does fantastic for gaming, and I'm at 2560x1600. You will like that setup. I agree more in monitor, and less in gpu.
