Ultimate Build HELP No Price Cap Just Epicness

Hey guys, Ive been super stumped on what parts to buy for this one...

Heres my Goal: I want to build the most overpowered PC just for the heck of it :)

Im doing a lot of gaming, editing, and streaming but that doesnt really matter in the goal im trying to acomplish..

So i started this plan a while ago (as in years ago) and was going with a rampage V ed 10 and a pricey i7 extreme edition.. but now with AMD and Intel playing leapfrog again things are changing...

So after careful consideration I want to go with a Threadripper build (1950x 16 core/32 thread) but i havent been able to choose a case or mobo or anything besides a corsair 1500W psu and ram, i bought a phanteks enthoo evolv case but it will not fit any EATX mobo that is huge so i will need a different case preferably in a similar style if possible lol

Im not rich or anything but im determined and im putting every penny I earn into this project meaning there is absolutely no price cap because no matter how long it takes I will complete it lol

Anyways I would really appreciate it if you guys could share some recommendations for what you think would be the most super overkill parts list (try excluding absolutely crazy stuff like liquid nitrogen also im not too good at custom water loops) but have fun with it ask any questions if you need clarification on something :)

Thanks in advance :D

Threadripper sucks. I wouldn't use it if you paid me.

I'm kidding. Check my build in my sig. It's a 1950X + 2x 1080 Ti build.

If that's a route you'd want to go, I can give you some suggestions.

Save a few bucks on the motherboard though. It was worth it for me, since I needed to buy a 10G card anyway (this came w/ one).

Solid board, but a bit expensive when the lower cost ASUS boards are fine.

Do not buy your parts in bits. Save up and buy it all at once when you have enough.

Then get the board you like. For me personally, I prefer the Asus X399 Strix

And I've mentioned before, don't buy your parts in bits.

One of my colleagues went Aorus because of all the LEDs on the board. He has nothing but problems with stability. He's two boards in.

I'm an Asus fanboy. Have been since Gigabyte drove me insane after X58. The X58 board is still alive, but the two builds after that were nightmarish.

As @NumLock21 said, the STRIX has my vote.

So will you be able to save up enough withing the next 3 months or will you need a bit more time like 6 months to 1 year?

If I remember correctly, jayztwocents did a watercooled build in that case w/ Ryzen and the airflow was so bad that he kind of just stopped using the machine due to thermals.

I will try to find the video. But yeah, if Ryzen was a problem.. just imagine Threadripper. It puts out HEAT!

Yes, he that that same case, but stop using it due to thermal issues with the case's design.

There we go. Yeah... OP, ditch this case if you're going HEDT... I know you already bought it, but you're starting off on the wrong foot.
