PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor  ($289.79 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock - X370 KILLER SLI/ac ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($130.98 @ Newegg)

Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($149.99 @ B&H)
Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX Video Card  ($554.99 @ SuperBiiz)

SLI support. Better case. Cheaper keyboard, but I'd definitely spend the extra $40 for the K70, it's a steal for $140.

I may stick with the mobo I chose just because I am not interested in SLI what so ever and I wan't to keep it all black for the most part. I tried the k70 out in store and loved it but didn't know if I could afford it. Thanks for the help

One more thing, do you think a 500 GB SSD will hold me down for awhile? I was going to get a 250 SSD and 2 tb HDD but wasn't too sure about it.

Motherboard: Asus - STRIX X370-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($174.49 @ SuperBiiz)

SLI support is nice to have, trust me. Another alternative motherboard is MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon($145). If you do get the B350 Strix, then drop the PSU to the 550W version of the Capstone or a 450W Bitfenix Whisper.

Yeah 500GB is plenty for OS and a good number of games. You can add a 2TB HDD when you have a spare $60-70, the 500GB SSD will easily hold you over until then

Yeah I was looking at that Pro Carbon, loved the thing. What more can it do compared to the one I selected?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MttD9W Which PSU would you recommend? As long as it lasts and does its job im fine. I don't need a crazy overkill PSU and I don't plan on adding another card or anything like that.

Get the 750W Capstone with the X370 Pro Carbon. 750W gives you SLI support and the PSU should be pretty quiet with a single 1080

Again, don't want SLI what so ever. If I do upgrade i'd get a single 1080 Ti.

It's literally less than $20 more for the 750W PSU though, it's kind of just shooting yourself in the foot. I bought a 550W PSU because I had no intention of multi-GPU, and then had to upgrade shortly later when I went multi-GPU lol. Even if you don't get a 2nd 1080, there's no harm in having a higher wattage PSU.
