Hey! I wanted to buy a new smartphone from 400-500 euros, the lower the better, and right now im between the s7 edge and the g6 from lg, but I saw some reviews saying that the s7 edge gets slow and laggy after some time, and that the g6 battery isn´t good, altough some people say it is. I wanted a flagship phone that lasts me for 1-2 years, having good battery life (1-2 days moderate use)  along with fast charging speed and being good for every day use like gaming, videos and web browsing. What do you guys recommend between these two or any others?

even from a brand new phone, 1-2 days of moderate use is going to be tough. when my S7 was brand new, I would get about 36 hours of use. including sleeping for 8 hours...

That said, I love my S7

Best phone for the money: top of the line processor from this year (Which is in $700-800 phones), great specs and its stock Android (No lag)

https://www.amazon.com/OnePlus-A5000-Snapdragon-Smartphone-Slate/dp/B0734X8GW5/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506728111&sr=8-3&keywords=oneplus

Only $25 above your budget.

A smaller phone would be the google Pixel. Great camera, performance, and again its stock Android

https://www.amazon.com/Google-Pixel-32GB-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B072N3GKSM/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1506728204&sr=1-3&keywords=google+pixel

(Cheaper as well)

What version of the G6 is being sold in Portugal? I have the Asian version (SD821, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, HiFi Quad DAC) and it's been a pleasure to use, does what I need it to do with ease and thus far, no bootloop issue whatsoever (seems the one with bootloop issue were the ones with SD810). Watching WideScreen movie on its 18:9 screen is simply a pleasure,

The S7 Edge. Its battery is much better than other flagships of comparable price. People feel their phone getting slow over time thats because they load it full of crap that run in the background without any management. Also the Samsung's oled display is more energy efficient and amazing contrast.

Yes it's nice to have that screen and battery. Although it doesn't have usb c and it's more fragile than the g6 but I use a case and a screen protector so..

It's a really hard decision to make..

If you have the opportunity, try both out and see.

The G6 and S7e have roughly identical display areas and their specs are also roughly similar (SD821/E8890, 4GB LPDDR4, 32GB UFS storage, Android 7 Nougat, etc.)

However, do note that the European G6 is sadly the least appealing variant out of all the G6s in existence due to LG's silly regional marketing, where North America gets wireless charging while Asia gets the beefy DAC.

The Workhorse (AMD-powered custom desktop)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | GPU: MSI X Trio GeForce RTX 2070S | RAM: XPG Spectrix D60G 32GB DDR4-3200 | Storage: 512GB XPG SX8200P + 2TB 7200RPM Seagate Barracuda Compute | OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

The Portable Workstation (Apple MacBook Pro 16" 2021)

SoC: Apple M1 Max (8+2 core CPU w/ 32-core GPU) | RAM: 32GB unified LPDDR5 | Storage: 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD | OS: macOS Monterey

The Communicator (Apple iPhone 13 Pro)

SoC: Apple A15 Bionic | RAM: 6GB LPDDR4X | Storage: 128GB internal w/ NVMe controller | Display: 6.1" 2532x1170 "Super Retina XDR" OLED with VRR at up to 120Hz | OS: iOS 15.1

My own phone (LeEco Me Pro 3) does come with a 4K mAh battery, and can last two days of use easily. SD821, 4GB of ram, and 64GB of storage are also included. However, camera is nowhere near as good as some of the well known stuff today (Pixel's Camera app does help though), the software itself is pretty terrible as well. I flashed LineageOS onto mine. Also, the while the display itself is a pretty decent 1080P panel, the bezel may be enough to turn one away. Dual speakers are a very big win though, something that actually sounds better than my 3DS is an unusual thing in the smartphone world.

You get a lot of hardware performance for the price (mine was about $250), but tbh, not much else beyond that. Its a bit like buying a base model car with no optionals or electronic goodies whatsoever, except it has a very big engine.

My camera lens sees the present…

I can only trie the s7 edge because I don't see any store having the g6 here.. Yea the EU version is the worse compared to the others. I will see the prices on both of them to see if it comes lower. The s7 has the egde while the g6 has a bit bigger screen. But the s7 doesn't have usb c.. I'm also watching other phones like the honor 9 and p10 but I don't like it.. I wanted a phone with a good screen to body ratio, and a good resolution.

USB ain't a biggie, other than my not having to worry about whether the connector is correctly orientated like micro-USB. I have the G6 and that's the only advantage I see (for now) as I don't think it's any faster that regular micro USB. I guess the supplied USB-C cable that comes with my G6 conforms to USB2.0 standard (I think). Honestly, though I'm a very happy G6 user, the Euro version of the phone is, as someone had said, the least appealing of the G6 variants available.

Yup...I think I'll go for the g6 but I will be aware of others deals. Black Friday is here soon so I don't know.

I just want it to have a good battery life and charging and good overall.
