Change Litecoin Block Files Directory

Hello, after downloading all the blocks needed to begin mining Litecoins, I noticed it installed on the C drive, so I deleted them before actually starting to mine. Space isn't an issue but since my C drive is an ssd, I'm worried about the writes done on the ssd when syncing the blocks. Is there any way to change the directory during installation?

Also, how is the 7850 at Litecoin mining?

Thanks in advance.

You should get in the range of 340-400 hash rate.

I don't think the read/write done on the SSD would be significant.

Thanks for the reply. Is that rate good?

Good is subjective.

The 7850 is one of the better newer generation mining cards behind the 5000 series due to its yield to power consumption, especially considering how cheap it is.

The easiest way to have something "installed" in one location but actually be stored in another would be setting up mklink junctions. You can do this in command, but easiest way would be to use linkshell extension. http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html

Once installed, it allows you to right click and select "pick link source" then "drop as" various types of links. I'd suggest junction over symbolic link. In a networked setup symbolic links wont be seen, but a junction will be seen by networks. I also wouldn't worry about SSD writes, the amount of writes required to see degradation would likely outlast most other components in your computer.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.
