Is there a program or software that allows you to set certain applications to specific cores?

like...

Core0

-microsoft word

-google chrome

-microsoft excel

Core 1-3

-Video thats being edited

-Other multi-cored processes

i know there is the affinity set thing in the task manager to set what cores programs can use, but it resets when you restart your pc. looking for something that maybe saves settings for you?

If there is anything, id appreciate the help

i heard about it but i forgot the name of the tool.

would be nice to have something that is easy to use. one could reserve a core for all the OS background bullshit

Project Lasso handles this for you and affinity remains persistent after shutdown/reboot.  It can also handle process prioritization and quite a bit more.

There are free and paid versions, but the free version includes persistent affinity.

Hope this helps and good luck.
