I have an old Dell Latitude D260 that i want to upgrade for fun to see what i can do. Right now it has 1 GB of RAM, with a Duo clocked at 2.0 GHz. Any suggestions on how i could upgrade it? (CPU, RAM, GPU if possible)

Probably the places of biggest improvement would be getting an SSD (this is BIG), and getting more RAM would be nice.

Yeah, changing the CPU and GPU on laptops isn't really possible. Upgrading the memory and storage would be your best bet.

i looked it up, and i can replace the CPU, which is why i asked

Oh. Huh. Pretty often the CPUs are soldered in.

Laptops during that time have most of the components upgradeable. But due to the nature of your Dell's chipset (I'm assuming it's based on Intel 945GM chipset based on this review [http://www.notebookreview.com/notebookreview/dell-latitude-d620-review-pics-specs/]), you're very limited to upgrades. From what I've read (http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/945GM_Express.html), you can upgrade your CPU up to Core 2 Duo T7600 and your RAM up to 4GB with DDR2-800 (I can't say much about 8GB but it might work). I can't say much for GPU but based on what I've seen from the motherboard of that laptop, it seems to be soldered.

As for storage, get SSD. It's one of the most easiest upgrades for a nice performance boost.
