I just thought I'd ask in here briefly since I have minor concerns, my GTX 1080 Ti appears to have considerable deck flex. It's a FTW3 iCX Card from EVGA, and I just want to make sure that it's not anything that I should be worried about.

I mean... as long as you don't jar the system around, it shouldn't be an issue. If the screws are all on, there's little you can do outside of making bracket to prop the card up.

I've only got one screw in on the second PCI slot in the case. Reason for this being that the card doesn't actually line up with the top one, although that shouldn't be an issue.

the only way to know how much flex is too much is by literally breaking it, however ive never had any flex issues ect ( even had cards loose in the slots ect on the table )

never any damage :P unless u throw around ur system literally it shouldnt really harm ( however dont have loose cards those can break ur pci express slots xD )

Yeah if I move the system I'm going to uninstall the card, it's far too heavy to safely transport. This is reassuring, I've just never owned such a heavy-weighted card before (went from an HD 7770 to a 1070 FTW to this, so this is considerably larger.) Thanks!

I know there's a seller on Amazon who has brackets made directly for the concern you have. The only issue with it is that the bracket is considerably expensive, topping out at around $44.99 Canadian dollars.

Worst case I'll just cut a 2x2 and place it under the card if I have to.

Oh man that's the worst. Drives me insane when that happens. And that case doesn't look like a cheap $20-30 case too.

There are a couple GPU braces on the market, I know it would make me feel better if I had that much GPU sag, but theyre also a little ugly.

These are affordable in the US at about $18, but they're upwards of $60 Canadian rubles, jeez.

Honestly, if it is a real issue then I wouldn't mind an ugly solution. I'd take functionality over form.

you can buy clear acrylic rod, cost you maybe $4 and you can set it up to support the gpu, and look good, and it wouldn't be much more work than a 2x2
