Why would you want to SLI/Crossfire? It's always better to get one strong card over two weaker ones.

SLI/X-fire is honestly not worth it these days. Get the single fastest card you can afford to buy. 1060 is just fine for 99.9% of gaming scenarios.

Wont get any performance boost really from a single 580, CF/SLI isn't that great value anyway (Support and performance improve improvement can vary from game to game significantly). Would keep what you have now and wait for Volta/Navi if you wan to upgrade.

SLI/X-fire isnt really worth it these days, there can be instability issues with these configurations (varies from game to game). You might as well get a stronger single graphics card that is way more powerful than two weaker ones. You will end up spending more money on buying two GPU's for SLI/X-fire, when you could buy one stronger graphics card that will have the performance benefit. I would keep what you have now cause the 1060 is still good value for gaming, then upgrade to a stronger graphics card in the future. I wouldnt even consider dual AMD cards in X-fire because they are simply too expensive because of the mining craze.

The 1060 is fine. If you're going to bother upgrading from it then just get a 1080ti. Don't even consider SLI or Crossfire, it doesn't work and the benchmarking videos with it are fake.
