Estimate the time needed to mine a block

I installed the BiblePay Wallet for fun, and I'm currently getting this:

How much time will it take to mine any BBP? Can anyone guide me through the math? Is it possible in this day to mine anything by yourself (even for fun) or is joining a pool compulsory?

Yes you can mine but it's probably not worth it unless you don't pay for electricity and already have the gear to do it.
