Differences in ROG Strix 1080tis?

I was taking a look at the titled video card and I couldn't find much of a difference in the "versions" other then the Boost Clock. However, with gpu boost 3.0 (or whatever it's called) and manual OCing on top of the overclocking in the card, is there really a difference in the cards? Is there any point to not get the cheaper ones? I suspect there is some binning going on, but if I'm not pushing any limits with OCing (say going to 1900Mhz) would that even come into play?

Maybe you'll see a 30 MHz ish difference but it's pretty small.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

The OC cards are "binned" and come with a higher OC out of the box.
The latter is dumb because you can do the same thing with the non-OC cards with something like MSI afterburner.
The binned cards can OC slightly higher by maybe 10-30 mhz at best. This will get you around 0-1 fps higher in most games.

The OC cards are not worth the money unless you just want bragging rights.

Btw I have the GTX 1080ti ASUS Strix OC

What that means is you're paying $50 (I think) for an extra frame or two.

Yeah, cause OC looks like OG on most monitors, and the original is always better than the second one. But no, not really. I should have gone off in one of those nigahiga theories. Like how OG is part of JoshOG's name, and of course he is and amazing PUBG player, he likes games and they like him so of course there is better FPS with the OC. Yeah no.
