ACX 780ti vs watercooled 290x both OCed

tehee

Which one would give better performance?

Price is relatively the same but I won't be doing a full loop for the 290x but instead just using a kraken g10 and a kraken k60.

I play at 1440p and play games like Battlefield 4, Crysis 3 and Dota 2 (lol not even demanding)

watercolled 290xs imo , I have a 290 and I couldn't love it more ^_^

oh and for the very miniscule increase in fps on a 290x i'd go for the 290

290 will give you better price/performance, and more RAM. 780Ti will give you 3-6 more frames at the most atm, and 290X is a waste of money. With Mantle on the horizon, 290 is the way to go. If you are getting the NZXT G10, I would get the Kraken K40, so you have a 140mm cooler vs. a 280mm cooler which will take up more room.

Ya I meant K40 my bad, the price to performance doesn't really mean anything because a water cooled 290x would be relitvely the same price as a 780ti ACX wouldn't it?

Umm no. The G10 is $30 and the K40 is $100. 500+100+30= 630=/=750. If you get the 290, it would be $400+100+30 which would be $530, being an all around better deal.

R9 290 is the better deal, price/performance wise. Also new GPUs coming in a few months, why not just wait? :P

780ti u get gsync shadow play and gamestream plus it can support mantle if it wants and it doesnt have to rely on voodoo magic to be the top card so if mantle flops on its ass u will still have the best card out lol but i would wait for maxwell since u have waited this long.
