Capture Card Question

So I will be getting a new rig soon and I was thinking about using the one I have now to run a dual pc stream. That being said I have a 21:9 monitor and was wondering if there exist a 21:9 capable capture card or would it need to be a 16:9 signal to work properly?

you should find the list of supported resolution by the capture card, if the resolution of your screen is listed then it'll be fine.
