New Build

AirAdair

I've gotten a lot of feedback on multiple builds and have learned a lot on these forums. I'm looking to build a new pc for primarily gaming. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/D9D69W The parts already selected are my requirements, my budget is around 1900 and if anyone can add on to the build and keep it under 1900 it'd be a big help. I'd prefer 3200 DDR4 16GB RAM and mainly interested in the Dark Rock pro 3 but am open to change. Thanks everyone :)

Not interested in 4k, I just want max performance. When it comes to the monitor I will be upgrading to 1440p 144Hz in the future.

If you have a budget of $1900 then get a 1080ti. At 1440p a 1080 will avg around 70-80 FPS in most games at ultra. However a 1080ti will get 100-120

I was initially interested in a 1080ti but couldnt manage to fit everything I needed into 1900 or even 2000

Well it's fine. A 1080 is still amazing. But if you want the extra frames you might need to lower a few intensive settings to high.

Although you could save some money by buying a cheaper keyboard.

IKR! I hate that thing so much because of the price but didn't know what else to get. Not knowledgeable of them at all and one of my friends has the k55 but I dislike it

I had initial requirements like the monitor and I'm also waiting for Coffee Lake. Once everything I want is added onto that the price is gonna go way up.

This is without a keyboard but corsiar has good stuff on sale sometimes.  I went for ryzen even though you said purely gaming because it's better price/performance.  You can add more storage in the future (maybe a 1 tb hdd) and I added a 1440p 27" monitor because it's no use playing with a 1080 on a 1080p monitor

Try using the PSU Tier List!

How to reset the bios/clear the cmos

My current rig:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x

Ram: 1x16gb DDR4, 2x8gb DDR4

Storage: 1tb nvme ssd

GPU: gtx 3080

Monitor: 23.8" Dell S2417DG 144hz g-sync 1440p + 27" Acer S271HL 60 Hz 1080p

Keyboard: ducky one I | I SF

Mouse: gpro wireless | glorious model o2 wireless

Sound : beyerdynamic 1990 pro | Monoprice liquid spark (amp) + topping d10 (dac)

Some games won't even get 1080144 with the 1080 Ti, so it depends on what game.

Also, If you use the build I listed and go with ryzen, you don't need to waste $250 on a 1080p monitor as a placeholder for a future 1440p monitor

If you aren't sure the best choice is to wait for coffee lake to decide, case closed.

Wait to see, Ryzen are good deals, but usually a little slower and slightly more expensive than an equivalent intel. But yeah, wait for Coffee Lake to come out since they are adding more cores.

Wait for the 8700k, because it will lower the price of the 7700k. So even if you don't want the 8700k the 7700k will be cheaper.

Sure, still would be solid builld, unless you are an intel fanboy wait. If not then that build will treat you well
