$10 to $15 is about the highest I would go for it.

You might be able to game at lower resolutions (720p) on low settings.

I have two questions how much is a good price for a gtx 275 and can it still game decent games (lowest settings) ?

I remember playing with one and i think i got decent performence in BF4 even on mid settings in FHD. Maybe i could do a benchmark for you in a day or two

its a decent 720p card? would play esports games that still support DX 10 or lower APIs like Paladins, ok at 1080p possiably?(though not Paladins because HiRez are dicks and wrecked the FPS)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

To give you some sort of perspective, a 750 Ti would destroy it the way a 1070 would destroy a 750 Ti

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

The gtx 275 is a bit faster than the 8800gt if I remember correctly. Those depending on the country and the seller are going for 10$-50$. Honestly I wouldn't pay anything above 30$.

Thing is with one of those you'll limit yourself to Directx10, so you won't be able to play a lot of games due to the requirements of DX11, even if the card is more than enough for the game.

If you can afford try finding a 750ti.

I mean.. it's okayish

According to RandomGaminginHD.  But I wouldn't go for it if I were you.  I know, budget isn't always that big for everyone.  But it's biggest limiter is that it's only using GDDR3 VRAM and it's stuck on DX10.

Like someone else has said, go for a GTX 460.  Hell, try a used 6770, or 7770, or even a used GTX 750 ti, they all have DX 11 support.
