Acer VX5-591G or Asus FX502VM

I'm going to buy a laptop in 24hours or so ,but I urgently need opinions from the community here before I make the purchase.

After browsing around locally, 2 deals seems great but I'm kinda torn which to choose

Asus Fx502vm

cpu: i7 6700hq

gpu: gtx1060 3GB

Storage:1 TB hdd

ram: 8gb

screen:1080p TN panel

price: ~$1100

1 reviews states that laptop thermal throttles like heck in CPU gpu stress test( I assume synthetic test)

Acer VX5 519G

cpu: i5 7300 hq

gpu: 1050ti 4gb

storage: 1TB hdd + 128GB nvme ssd

ram :8gb

screen: 1080p IPS panel

price:~$900

I'll be swapping out the 1tb hdd for a 256GB I have lying around.

Note that this will be my primary pc when I study abroad in 3 weeks

i would be playing games ( on average maybe on nier automata level graphic) I might also be doing some rpcs3

Yeah.... I live in Taiwan so the choices are quite limited.

The only ones that would be decent for my case are these two only

Neither.

Look for a laptop which uses a Clevo base.

Honestly speaking as a GL502VM owner, if you wanted the FX502, I would have recommended spending the extra on a 502VM and upgrading the BIOS while also undervolting. But for the price, if you can find a laptop which uses a Clevo chassis, that may be the better option for your cash.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 502VM, but I wouldn't exactly recommend it to those who want lots of thermal headroom.
