Urgent help with cleaning CPU.

I need help cleaning thermal paste of my cpu. I only have three things I can currently use.

 

Hand Sanitizer. Ingredients: Ethyl alcohol 70%.

 

Electronic Wipes. Ingredients: Water, Solvent, Surfactants, Preservative, Buffer, Fragrance.

 

And third is using a paper towel or cutip and letting it dry for 10 minutes. 

 

Please I need an answer quickly!

Honestly, unless the paste is super hard to clean off, you would be fine just wiping it off COMPLETELY with a bare paper towel and a little elbow grease. Just don't press to hard on the cpu.

Just use a paper towel. Isopropyl alcohol is nice, but imo not really necessary unless you manage to touch the die or the old paste just refuses to come off.

hand sanitizer will work fine, use that paper towel and wipe it up real good and give things a min to dry

I would use a coffee filter as it doesn't leave shit behind.

I ended up using a paper towel. The paste was still very wet so it came right off.
