Hi I'm a bit lazy as to fix this but i have ideas. This was made by a friends friend and it is pretty terrible. Budget is around 900USD. I was thinking a ryzen cpu, 1060 or 480, and a cheaper power supply. Like why would he need a gold psu that's 100 bucks? No keyboard as well. Go nuts.https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BlackTAG/saved/FR23FT

bad build.. get the ryzen 1600, stick with stock cooler, get a b350 board, get ddr4 ram, case is an overkill for such system, psu is an overkill too,

I would get a better PSU, especially if he wants to overclock that CPU and ram (Which with Ryzen you kind of have to) otherwise this would work.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

CXM is tier 3 and would be tier 2 if it wasn't for the fan, it's totally fine. 450w is way more than enough

Sure its enough to run the system, but remember PC Particker is shit with there suggested voltage. They base that off of things like FE GPU's and don't take into account different loads, just idle. In a game situation he could be over 89% (Which I believe is the efficiency curve on that PSU) meaning he is using more power then he needs to. And if he overclocks then the curve increases. If PC partpicker says he needs 350w, he really needs 450w or higher. I would get a 550w-650w silver/gold psu to make sure he keeps above the efficiency curve, and has headroom to overclock.

im not the best at psus, but i can give you a good wattage number that u would need(including overclocking), keep in mind.. the number that i will give might not be good if an upgrade is needed in the future.. but always go id say 150-200W extra of what the gpu says, so like if the gpu says that it needs 400w, go for 550 and up, etc..
