Kraken G10+H220?

Go to solution Solved by Emperor_Piehead,

im so confused with what u are asking :S

He wants to add a AIO watercooler to his gpu using the kraken G10 bracket and wondered if it would fit with a  swiftech h220.

It isn't compatible as it needs to be by asetek so the kraken X40/60, antec liquid coolers, thermaltake coolers, corsair H55, H90, and H110 are coolers off the top of my head that would fit the bracket.

No the G10 needs an Asetek round block the h220 has squarish block forget what the type is called.

Spoiler

Corsair 400C- Intel i7 6700- Gigabyte Gaming 6- GTX 1080 Founders Ed. - Intel 530 120GB + 2xWD 1TB + Adata 610 256GB- 16GB 2400MHz G.Skill- Evga G2 650 PSU- Corsair H110- ASUS PB278Q- Dell u2412m- Logitech G710+ - Logitech g700 - Sennheiser PC350 SE/598se

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

Alright thanks for the quick response... do you think an H220 will handle a 2600k and a R9 290

Barely. It's 120mm for each part but you'd want to double whatever you need for the headroom.

Sorry for posting again today.

I wanted to watercool my 290 but do not want to go full out with a res and pump because im not really confident in my ability.

So I was wondering should i make a loop with the H220 and buy a waterblock for my graphics card and maybe an aditional radiator, or buy the kraken 210 and slap an h80i on it and keep my h100 for my cpu.

The kraken option seems easier and cheaper but the H220 option seems like it would provide better performance.

I dont really care about my temperatures as long as they are reasonable not like the 95C my 290 is pumping out right now, i want it to be silent and cool.

Thanks

h80i will not work with the G10 as the mounting bracket it different. I believe something like an h50 would be perfect and slap a good fan on there like an NF-F12 or something of the like and you have some silent and cooler than 95 celsius. By how much I do not know but it will not be near that temp.

No! You can only post once per day!

Go with the expanded loop of the h220 and take pictures. I am going to do the same thing, I just want more examples :D

I actually posted a while ago about this kind of thing. A gentleman was kind enough to try it out and post his findings. Here it is if you would like to see some temps or whatever:

I'd say NZXT Kraken G10 with an H100i/Kraken X60.

The H100i/Kraken X60 isnt really an option because i already have a H100 mounted in my case for my cpu. I forgot to mention my case is the 600T.

Use the x40. There's little point to getting the x60 just for the gpu.
