Motherboard advice

Hey folks,

 

I was hoping that some community members could point me in the right direction. I'm shopping around for a mainboard to pair with the following CPU: Intel Xeon e5-2695v3. My budget is ~ $400 CAD. Would anyone happen to have any suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Just an additional note, this build is more for the role of a workhorse, 14 cores with 28 threads clocked at 2.3GHz.

X99 Workstation boards will work with that CPU, but $400 might be an issue.

Wacht out whit those cpuś some motherbords need a BIOS update bevore you can use tham !

 

Any wee a good X99 board like MSI SLI. OR Gigabyte budget line up will work lovely with that cpu.

 

@xIHuNTeRIx i wult only go AM4 if you also need GHZ. If OP is looking for cpu power go for it

So after looking around, I think i may have found a suitable board for this build.

 

ASRock LGA2011-v3/ Intel X99/ DDR4/SATA3&USB3.1/ Wi-Fi/ATX Motherboard (X99 TAICHI)

 

Has anyone had any experience building with this board?
