Hey, I was just wondering if I should use a PCI-E riser for my GPU because the new case I have allows the GPU to be positioned facing towards the tempered glass. Someone told me that I shouldn't because it is unstable or something? I'm not too sure so I need help or an opinion please.

Some of the cheapo unshielded ones can cause instability, but if you get a good quality one, like the ones Thermaltake has, they work fine.

If you mean unstable as in it will fall off, as long as you screw it in and use a quality riser you won't have any issues. Your friend sounds like the kind of person to spend $40 on Amazon for a piece of metal that screws into the chassis to hold up the graphics card.
