this may be a really dumb question. But is the gtx 1050 and 1050 ti the same size? i want to put a backplate on my 1050 but don't want to get the wrong size.

It depends on the specific SKU you go after.

Measure the card and note where the mounting holes are. That's probably the best way to go about making sure whatever back plate you get will fit.

You need eìthr the Asus dual or strix 1050 backplate.

want to know if they're the same size? go to the manufacturer's website for the two cards you're comparing and look at their physical dimensions. This is a question for Google, not a forum.

really dumb question indeed... you can look at the google, if you ask me, the asus thing has specs its all there for you to see.

 

what a proper question would be classed; is  enquiring about performance for a specific card on a specific resolutions. this is when it matters.
