Help with skyrim mod optimization

thatguyjerry

not sure if this is the proper place to post for help with this, but I am getting a lot of CTD with my skyrim and I run a lot of mods. I use LOOT but I believe I read somewhere in another forum before that tools like MO not only alter the loading order of mods but the priority of their memory allocation or something? As you can tell, I'm not terribly experienced with this and mostly rely on NMM and LOOT to pull all the weight even though there are plenty of personal tweaks I need to make myself, I just don't really know how to go about them. I will post my load order below, a lot of them are textures overwriting other textures and whatnot, all of which have been optimized with Ordenador, but I also think I have a couple of animation mods without FNIS in place :/ need to fix that I know.

First off, make sure you clean the DLC. LOOT will tell you what needs to be cleaned. Second, keep in mind that each time you add or remove a mod it makes the save more unstable. That wasn't true with Oblivion, but times have changed.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

I don't use any DLC, just the vanilla game. Also, did not know that about the save :/ my files probably all messed up rn. I've gotten that "this save relies on content no longer available" message multiple times. Is it possible to re-stabilize with console commands like reset inventory and whatnot?

Edit: I've also done all the cleaning that LOOT has told me to do, so maybe my files is just too screwed.

In this situation i normally tag all mods in Google Docs like "Texture", "Combat", etc..

Then if there's any problem with two textures which load in same time and blink though each other i just open mods which have this "abilities" in editor (Notepad++, VisualStudio, etc..) and remove update string (if there's any) and remove string with textures (for example).

As far as i know this is the only way how to fix that much mods and optimize them.

Do you mean like multiple textures for the same file? Isn't that fixed by NMM when installing the mod by manual overwrites?

Should be fixed by NWM, but if you using LOOT with it and other platforms or if its marked like (example) "grass1" "grass2" for grass object. it still could make problems.

Source: happend to me a lot of time.

If you don't have it already I would recommend the 4gb patch. It should help with many CTDs due to lack of memory due to larger than vanilla skyrim HD textures.

Also the skyrim unofficial patch should go after any ".esm" files as it is an ".esp" (elder scrolls master /plugin respectively) unless the developer explicitly tells you to.
