anything that fits 115* fits 1151, the great advantage of not changing mounting holes :D

as for best.. depends on the kind of cooler you're looking for.

I have a i7 7700 processor so any air cooler that can cool that during overclocking.

Anything that fits 1156 , 1155 and 1150 also fits 1151 . The mounting holes haven't changed ( unlike am3 to am4 ).

I'd recommend the nh d15 if you can afford it . It's basically the best in it's class .

If it's an i7 7700 ( not the 7700k ) , then you won't be able to overclock anyway .? In which case i'd recommend the 212 evo if you don't want the stock cooler.

A beefy air cooler won't make a difference in that scenario.

NH-D15 is the best, but i doubt you would need that much cooling unless you are running a 5.2GHz 7700K

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
