Gpu shutdown?

Yeah, get a better PSU. I would recommend a Seasonic S12II-620 if you're on a budget. If you want to spend a bit more get an EVGA 650 G2/G3 ;)

Try downloading and using something like unigin superposition. This sounds like a gpu issue to me.

I'm 99% sure that this is a PSU issue

I was playing some overwatch when suddenly all of my monitors did not get a signal and the fans on my gpu (gigabyte gtx 1080 xtreme gaming rev.1.0) start blowing at 100%, the only way to stop this was to turn my pc off. After restarting my pc i tried to run another game, but the same thing happened. After a restart i tried to search for answers online but then it happened again. now when i try to load a game it wont even go past the loading screen. I have a 700 W PSU so that can't be the problem. is there anything I can do or do I have to get a new one?

well, it's nice that you have a 700w psu, but what psu it is, wattage doesnt really matter. also, please list a full specs list

Your PSU is at risk of completely FRYING everything.

Here's a Toms Hardware link : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2937761/sharkoon-wpm-700-bronze-psu-good.html

Get something from EVGA, Thermaltake, Corsair. They shouldn't fry systems. People are on the fence about TT, I have one (TR2 600w) and it didnt fry.

EDIT: No, I don't have anything of value in my system except the CPU. If the TR2 fries my system, idgaf. Don't get a TT PSU with a 1080... PLEASE.

If that doesn't work, get a better motherboard. Prebuit mobos could fail over time.

True the issue is very weird, but the OP should change the PSU anyways. Using a cheapo power supply with a high end system is never a good idea ;)

Looking at a review of the 400w from computerbase the psu doesn't have OCP AT ALL, uses crappy caps, and is group regulated.

Considering the price of the rest of op's build I'm really not sure why they went with a bottom of the barrel psu :/

Yeah, I think a lot of people forget that PSU quality is as important/more important than wattage :S

@FoxSync Get a better power supply:

Any PSU from Tiers 1,2 and 3 is fine for your system ;)

well, if you just look at the psu tier list, which was mentioned before.

the g-series is tier 2, so a solid choice.

also remember to quote people, otherwise you wont get a reaction
