Mapping network drive on MacBook

Hey folks so I've put together an unRAID NAS and after a week or two of tweaks I'm ready to start using it in earnest, I have created shares for all my rigs and I was able to map the network drive to my MacBook and all is good with the exception that when I reboot my computer it loads the network drive to the desktop which is what I want but at the same time it opens the drive folder which is quite annoying anyone have any ideas what I'm missing? can't seem to find reference to keeping the drive from opening on boot.
