Wireless PS4 Bluetooth Dongle?

This might be going under console gaming, but, here goes ;

I've got a PC, right, and a PS4 controller. My PC however does not do Bluetooth at all, so I can't play wireless with the remote. Always need to be plugged in, and I hate cables. So I'm just wondering if I could buy something like the PS4 Wireless dongle Sony sells, plug it onto one of my USB port and play wireless? This might sound stupid but because my PC does not have Bluetooth built in I just want to make sure I'm not wasting 40$ for something that won't work.

the wireless dongle should work. just plug it somewhere so the controller can see it. i have a dongle for my xbone and it always drop connections when i plug it to the back
