Changing the Drive Partition back from FAT32 to NTFS

Haxor Gaming
Go to solution Solved by Haxor Gaming,

I had to go into disk management and reformat the drive. After that, it worked fine.

I formatted my 2TB WD Caviar Green HDD to Fat32 and noticed that it is capped at a 32GB Partition. I would like to change it back to the 2TB with NTFS. Any info will be helpful. Thanks!

If you have any important data, it's important to back it up before doing this

  1. Open Command Prompt. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.

    1. You should probably open Command Prompt as an administrator.

  2. In the command prompt window, type: convert [drive_letter]: /fs:ntfs

If you don't care about the data on the drive, you can simply do a reformat to NTFS.

It didn't work. The drive is still partitioned as a 32GB drive. For prior info, I formatted it as a Windows Installation Media.
