German Amazon

If you can check the link I put in this post can you confirm that this is not in fact shipped by amazon ? Also If I order something along with this graphics card like a monitor will I have to pay 2x the shipping or will it be put in the same package

It says this: "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon", so yeah, it's shipped by Amazon directly.

If you plan to order more stuff, I'd suggest you make sure that all of it is shipped by Amazon, so that you don't have to pay 2 shipping fees. Also when your order is shipped by Amazon, even if there's stuff from multiple retailers, you can choose if you want it in a single package or if you want it separately (for example if one of the things you order are not immediately available), but it automatically selects a single package delivery.

[DISCLAIMER] this is my first order on amazon so this question might sound dumb to some of you that use amazon on daily basis

I was about to order this https://www.amazon.de/Gigabyte-GV-N1060G1-GAMING-6GD-Grafikkarte-2000MHz/dp/B01M8O1JEB/ref=sr_1_15?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1504035500&sr=1-15&keywords=gtx+1060

And when I get to dispatch part it says "Dispatched by Amazon EU Sàrl". Is this from EU/Germany so I will not have to pay additional customs/taxes. ( I'm from Croatia - part of European Union ) And does Standard shipping versus Expedited delivery affect prices since I can't seem to spot any additional fees when switching from one to another.

Thanks in advance.

It's shipped from Europe so you don't pay customs fees. VAT should be calculated before you pay (if it's different than Germany VAT, the price before you pay should be adjusted automatically).

It should come either to the post office closest to you, or at your door through a courier (depends on package value).

I think Amazon has several warehouses across Europe, one is definitely in Germany (from where I got most packages) and I think one is in Ireland or London UK ... they may have some shipping center in France as well.

Either way, you shouldn't care about it, what you pay is all you're going to pay.

Yes, expedited delivery should be a bit more expensive, maybe adds a few euros to the price. You will see the total change before you pay and you can choose to go back and switch to standard shipping.

You can go back at any time until you're on the last screen and click some button to finalize the transaction.

Hey man,

Amazon will alter the price of whatever you're buying when you select where you want to ship it, depending on the VAT rate in that country. The difference is really small though, so you don't have to worry too much about that.

As for shipping, I'm not sure how much does it cost to ship it to Croatia, so I'll use Czech Republic as my point of reference. Here, there's free shipping on orders above 30€ if it's shipped by Amazon, and expedited delivery costs about 10€.

Alright thanks man that would explain a slight increase in price when getting to this point.

Also you can make changes to the order even after you've finalized it, though it might slow down delivery.

It says " Verkauf und Versand durch Amazon. Geschenkverpackung verfügbar. " which means Sold and shipped by Amazon. Gift wrapping available  ... so it's an item sold by Amazon.

Amazon is generally pretty cool about shipping costs, you'll get a good deal when you put multiple items and they'll try to bundle multiple items in a single package.

Monitors however are already pretty big and wide so to bundle your monitor with a graphics card, they'd probably have to use a cardboard box bigger than the monitor and then add a huge amount of filler material inside the box to prevent the graphics card from floating around in the case ... so they probably won't do it.

You'll probably get two separate packages but pay less than paying shipping for each one.

Also, it's often  just safer for monitors or fragile items to be seen when shipping, so they won't be thrown around so much

Honestly, if you order a monitor, I think you'll be auto upgraded to courier shipping or some more premium shipping method than standard delivery, because it should cut down on their losses with damaged products.
