Hey there!

Im currently in market for a new PSU. It should be quiet and not cost too much. I already read that Seasonic PSUs are pretty good but i dont know if they are silent. Neither with the EVGA one.

So these are the ones that i found that could be right for me (They need at least 550W and have to be silent):

https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/seasonic-m12ii-620-evo-620w-pc-netzteil-2374820?tagIds=76-524

https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/evga-bq-650w-pc-netzteil-6135222

https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/be-quiet-pure-power-10-cm-600w-pc-netzteil-6149769?tagIds=76-524

The BeQuiet one is a bit expenive for me, but if you guys say its worth it over the other two then well thats how it is :D

Or would you choose another one? Im happy about every recommendation :)

I dont currently need more than 450W but i want to use the PSU for a longer periode of time so yeah.

Thanks for your help.

I've used 2 EVGA poser supplys and have never head them at all, given i have about 3 case fans in my case, but I don't even know what the PSU sounds like

Here is my current PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y1

Edit: This one is also fully modular

Thanks for your help.

1. You shuld look in the 500-550W range this saves some money, without any negative impact from you - as long as you don't need it. And to need more than that you need a HEDT Plattform and a high end Graphics card like VEGA and a 1080TI.

2. Now to your selection:
a) Why the Seasonic M12II?? That is neither good nor silent. It probably is by far the loudest and it's ancient - nothing you should consider right now. 10 Years ago it was decent, today it's not.

b) EVGA BQ is AFAIK something like Cougar LX but tbh: If you consider THAT; get a Cougar LX, there you get a better fan -> Power Logic HDB and it rotates only at 500rpm in idle.

c) the Pure Power seems like what you want. Has a decent fan with Rifle Bearing, rather relaxed curve. And available in 400 and 500W with and without cable managment.

Here my take on the 400W Pure Power 10 CM:
http://www.tweakpc.de/forum/netzteile/106324-userreview-quiet-pure-power-10-400w.html

3. If you want to use the PSU for a longer period of time and don't need more than 450W you should probably rather look at something like a Straight Power 10 (eleven comes in a couple of weeks or so)

Check out this list on the forums

contains a tiered list of power supplies, from best to worst, This might help make your decision. A lot of people's thoughts went into that list and I regard it quite highly.

Wich does neither considers how loud a PSU gets nor the price(category) and thus can not really be used here.

And here it is important to know wich PSU get loud and wich stay quiet as it is something specificly asked by @MultiDJRoni.

If you want to recommend PSU you have to do the work yourself and at least read reviews and not rely on the work of other people.

Here one of the few reviews of the M12II-Bronze that measures the fan RPM of the PSU:

http://en.gecid.com/power/seasonic_s12ii-520_bronze_ss-520gb_2015/

You really want to reccomend THIS to something that is specificly looking for a silent PSU?!

RM650x.

Oh. I already ordered this one yesterday: https://siroop.ch/computer-elektronik/pc-hardware/pc-netzteil/be-quiet-netzteil-pure-power-10-600w-01378491

Is it worth the upgrade to the RM650x, or can you still recommend the BeQuiet one?

(The RM650x price in switzerland: https://siroop.ch/computer-elektronik/pc-hardware/pc-netzteil/corsair-rmx-series-rm650x-stromversorgung-intern-atx12v-24-eps12v-292-80-plus-gold-wechselstrom-100-240-v-650-watt-europa-1432681?network=g&campaignid=393801786&adgroupid=42460508589&keyword=&matchtype=&adposition=1o2&adtype=pla&product_id=1432681-4&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr8bapMb_1QIVSBbTCh3k8gCdEAkYAiABEgKyLvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)

Edit: With Siroop i can still return it and as long as it isnt opened i get paid back the full price so i still could change

You'd be fine either way, both are good units, both are rather quiet,
Both should be decently protected (RM650x doesn't have OCP on +12V)...

Both are on the quieter side.

Both should have equal decent fans.

So it's something like throwing a coin...
