Peltier CPU cooling?

What are the pros, cons and potential problems of using a peltier between my CPU and waterblock to help with cooling? I understand the basic idea, but what kind of temp reduction would I see? Thanks.

Pretty sure it would drop the temps a bit and I haven't seen any news about them in months so idk if they are worth it and what CPU and overclock

With any subzero cooling solution you run the very real risk of condensation build up. Im not sure how cold Peltiers get in real usage, but they get to -15 or so in control conditions.

Pros- a bit more active cooling. You'll really only see a couple of degrees lower than ambient (so I wouldn't worry about condensation)

Cons- you pump more electricity into your build, and it's another point of failure if it breaks.

They used to be sold as a niche product by swiftech as said though it would cause condensation if you went sub ambient not to mention the large amount of power draw for little gain due to the inefficiency of the peltier unit.
