Im using this build with a SeaSonic M12II 520W PSU. The system should be drawing about 450W under load. will this PSU do the job or do i need to upgrade asap?

*not planning on OC the system till i swap psu, just wondering if this will do the job for a couple months.

The thing about Seasonic PSUs is that they are damn good PSUs. Case in point: I have a system with an i7-6700 and, once upon a time, a Sapphire HD 7970 that consumed 300W by itself. The total system draw was around 500W, and I had almost that exact PSU, an M12II EVO 520W. Not only did the Seasonic PSU never once have a problem, even under stress testing loads, but when I tried the 7970 in a different PC with an EVGA "600W" PSU, it wouldn't even post until the 7970 was removed.

Moral of the story: you're fine. If a Seasonic PSU says it can handle 520W, it can handle 520W.

You should be fine. Most of the PSU wattage calculators overestimate by a lot in order to profit more and keep your components safe.

is there a risk to the gpu or other hardware? I would think low chance of risk

I see no problem with running a 7 year old 520w power supply at almost 100% of it's possible output , that'll go real well.

Just make note of when you initially start using it and when it blows up so we have a good timetable for how long a using the wrong power supply actually lasts.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
