OnePlus 5 Positives & Negatives

So my Galaxy S7 is dying on me (Pretty sure it's a defective battery) and I was looking at buying a OnePlus 5, since I'm sure warranty is not gonna cover it, since I dropped it nearly a year ago (back side glass broke) and am not sure whether it's worth it to replace the battery.

Anyone who owns a OnePlus 5, could I get you to write down some + and -'s about the phone? As much as possible, since I love knowing as many details as I can, before buying something :)

Thanks in advance :D

That name sounds like a math problem xD

Sorry I couldn't post anything helpful.

Edit: @jnkokseby Actually, I do have something helpful.  You can get the battery replaced for not too much here.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

I don't own one, but I vaguely know someone who does, and have watched some phone reviews. obviously this makes me an expert.

Pros:

- Blisteringly fast

- No bloat, stock android

- Software support is pretty good for security updates and android updates (up until android P - the OP5 will only get 2 major updates)

- High-end specs, solid build quality, cheaper than most

Cons:

- Upside-down screen may cause jelly effect for some people

- Not waterproof

- Doesn't support CDMA bands (Verizon & Sprint)

I own one, and I am going to return it because of the Jelly Scrolling issue.

It is a great phone, and I love everything about it, except for the jelly scrolling. I just can't unsee it.

Things I love about it:

- Great build quality

- Great screen

- Great photo quality

- Big screen while still keeping the phone pretty small

- Fast hardware

- Decent battery life

- Hardware buttons UNDER the screen, so they don't take up screen space. Good fingerprint reader.

- Hardware slider for silent mode.

Things I dont like:

- Jelly scrolling

- The speaker is bottom firing and quite poor sound quality.

I think different people might be more/less sensitive to the jelly scrolling. My wife can hardly see the effect for example. You might just want to try it and see if it bothers you. If not, it is a great phone.

For me, the jelly scrolling is unacceptable on a $500 device. I mean, I scroll through webpages and articles ALL THE TIME, it is something I do constantly, so an annoyance with that feature is really bothersome to me. I'm really disappointed because I otherwise love the phone.
