Two laptops, one as a screen

I have two laptops. One is a chromebook and one i a macbook pro. I wonder if there's any way to connect the two and have the chromebook as a secondary display? If not like this, is it possible with other Os?

That's unfortunate. Would be really nice to have :-)

You can get one of those small USB powered portable monitors for your MacBook to use though.

I have monitors to use, but I would really want to use this laptop as a display. It's trash and all, but for extra monitoring windows and stuff I would like it.

If I were to take it apart, wouldn't I be able to use the display and a adapter?!

No. That is a software based keyboard and mouse switch. It doesn't allow you to share screen real-estate. It's only for mouse and keyboards.

but you have 2 separate screens that way to work on even clipboard

ask me about your system builds, AIO's, CPU's, PSU's, and GPU's.

Yeah, thought about that.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If I have like a program with several windows that communicate with each other, synergy can't do that. It can only move mouse and files and stuff?!

But you'd still be using the second device only for it's OS, not extending the display of the main device. It's not what the OP is looking for.

Might be time to explain my case then.

I draw in sketchUp quite a lot on my macBook. I got this chromeBook from school, but it's, I'm not gonna lie, trash. I would like to have all my tool-windows and color-windows and stuff like that on the chromebook and only draw on the macBook. I have more displays, but I also have this computer that just sits there

Think that would work, at least if you experiment a little and spend some time on it. The problem then is that I'm not running windows on either coumputer. Have considered dualbooting on the macBook, but not a chance the chromebook would handle that.

Your best bet is seeing if there is an Airplay reciever software available to ChromeOS or Ubuntu. If not, see if there is any wireless screen mirroring software that has a transmitter for OSX and a reciever for ChromeOS os Ubuntu.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
