FRAPS not recording.

So I, a lifeless person plays Minecraft, cause I'm a 12 year old (no I'm not) and I've tried recording gameplay for youtube. Mostly hacker videos tbh, but fraps started to not record a few days ago. My recording hotkey is F8, when I press it the FPS counter remains yellow and the frames don't really drop at all. Which is the literal opposite of what should happen. So I pressed the F8 key and then I went into the folder where the videos are directed to store in while filming. And the mp4 file is there while "recording", but then it will like automatically disappear. So basically I can't record playing one of the games my computer is able to run with atleast decent framerates while and not recording. And it annoys me a lot. So if any of you Fraps pros can help me, it'd mean a lot. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

Just a suggestion why not try using OBS to record its just as easy to do so.

I was afraid of you folks recommending OBS, if it was any good to me I would've used that rather than fraps.

Why wouldn't it be good?

 

FRAPS is an old software for recording, it works and gives decent quality but the performance draw and file sizes are basically MASSIVE!

I use OBS and OBS Studio for recording, why wouldn't you use it?

When I said if it was any good to me, I meant it, I have a weak CPU and whenever OBS is even RUNNING not RECORDING it lowers my minecraft frames to 20 fps.

You can however make it record from the GPU rather than CPU with OBS.

How do I do that? I don't even have a dedicated GPU, just the iGpu, Sandy Bridge Graphics, came with the shitty G620.

Then Idunno, I'm pretty surprised the fraps records to begin with.
