Ryzen 5 1500x

Hello, so today i wanted to clean my pc case fans and cpu cooler and i found that my cpu one was a bit loose, then i realized that it wasnt screw properly, i tried to screw it again but no matter how i tried it only screw 3 out of 4 (not the same screw) so in my last attempt i gave up and only screw 3 properly, the cooler was well placed and i decided to turn on my pc to see the temps, hwmonitor and ryzen master showed a temp of 30c while doing nothing, just browsing and ryzen master showed a temp of 55c while playing pubg as max temp, is it ok leaving it like that? Im going to try again im the morning and see if i can screw it properly but if i cant i dont know if its goos leaving it like that.

If you have someone to help out get them to hold the backplate on the back of the motherboard while you try screw it in. Also loosen all the screws and then try screw them all in a bit at a time in a diagonal pattern. This ought to make it easier to get them all in and also ensure you have even pressure across the cpu. Hope this helps

as long as your temps are in check, it should be okay. In fact some CPU coolers from the socket 370 days or under installed with only 2 screws. Thermal paste does a lot of the work for you, the screws are only there to keep the cooler bolted down.

Also the reason that 4th screw may not be going in is because you stripped the threads. Try not to do that in the future.

No, like they all screw in but lets say i start with top left then x screw to bottom right then bottom left but it wouldnt screw top right, and no matter what patern i did, it never screw one.

well that's weird. But I guess if the CPU isn't going nuclear, who cares?

Yup, if it suddenly gets crazy im planning to get a hyper t4 but i saw that the installation on am4 it get a little bit tight.

Well that's very weird. Sounds like something may be a bit warped. I'd still give the holding the backplate thing a go though, that always helps me

Can you take pictures of everything? Bottom of cpu cooler, socket without the cooler on and the back of the motherboard?
