is it one of the split leads that is 2 4pins that clip together ? make sure both halves are full in, sometimes it can look ok but one half has slid out

are you using the pcie power lead by mistake ?

that's alot of juice, may nuke your cpu if you've made an error

unusual for a low end psu to have a solid 8 pin for the cpu when many low end chips only require a 4 pin ? are you sure its solid ? I'll have to have a look at it, brb

alrighty then, that's good, we can eliminate you nuking the cpu lol

likely a faulty psu or mobo if the board doesnt light up at all, does the cpu fan twitch ? normally get some reaction out of the cpu fan if the cpu is dead/unpowered before it shuts off

very true, often the fan will get 0.0001 seconds of power lol

i would say dead board in that case if the PSU seems to be functioning, are you able to test your system with another PSU at all ?

I agree, from my past experience it's usually the MB, they seem to have a much higher failure rate then PSU,CPU but you never know. best to get the PSU tested (usually for free)

all you should need is the 8pin and 24 pin board power to get it to turn on, don't worry about the excess
