so i just buy a gtx 970 and i do some stress test with furmark at 1080p no MSAA it temp after 30 minute is 79-80c so can you guys help me is that temps is ok for the card pls

which one, the 970 SC i owned would run 79-84°C out of box without overclocking, the problem is the cooler with improper heatpipe contact on that specific model. so what model you got?

He has the MSI gaming X, as noted in his title

no it the gtx 970 of MSI the GAMING X i'm not over clock it or any thing i put it at default so is that temp ok ??

that card shouldnt be running that hot but it depends on the temperature in his room and what cpu cooling setup he has. A friend of mine has the msi gtx 970 and he said it never goes above 70°C without oc. My current aorus gtx 1080 ti also runs at 80-84°C because it just heats up the case a lot and i got a rad as intake.

 

@OP you might want to reapply thermal paste, that can help

could be better but its not like a big deal for your usage

so it ok for it to be at 79-80c in the stress test of furmark 1080p 30p run no MSAA??

depends on the gpu load, for 100% its okay
